The German Energy Agency (dena) is seeking outstanding energy efficiency projects for the Energy Efficiency Award. Companies from industry, trade and commerce can apply for this international award until 30 June 2016. You can find all the information you need to enter for free at www.EnergyEfficiencyAward.de
The Energy Efficiency Award 2016 offers prize money totalling 30,000 euros. The competition aims to publicise efficiency strategies across different sectors and motivate other companies to implement similar projects.
This is already the tenth time that dena has organised the competition. Thanks to all the projects implemented to date, total energy savings of around 8 TWh annually have been made. This amount of energy is equivalent to the contribution made by nuclear energy to the German energy mix last December.
This year, for the first time, dena is awarding a recognition prize to competition entries that rely on digital solutions as part of their energy efficiency strategy, and have been able to achieve increased energy efficiency in this way.
